You have Questions? What's right for me? Medicare Advantage? What about Original Medicare? What about Part D? Should I get a Medigap policy How much does this cost?
We've Got Answers: We help you select the best plan for you among many options, without all the hype, and without the pressure. Take your time, get it right, and sleep well at night!
Basic Types of Medicare Coverage:
Original Medicare (Parts A and B): This is provided by the Federal Government, and it's the "default" coverage. What's covered is hospital insurance (Part A) and medical insurance (Part B), and it's the traditional coverage that's been around for decades.
Medicare Advantage Plans (Part C): Many people are better off selecting an Advantage Plan over Original Medicare. But it depends on many factors, and it's why visiting with someone about your options is essential. Medicare Advantage plans offered by private companies but approved and regulated by Medicare. These often include all the benefits of Parts A and B, but with additional features like vision, hearing, dental, and sometimes even fitness programs. Details matter, and there many plans to choose from, so taking the time to understand your options is paramount.
Prescription Drug Plans (Part D): Specifically for those who need coverage for prescription medications, these plans are offered by private carriers but regulated by Medicare.
Medicare Supplement Insurance (Medigap): Medigap policies are sold by private companies to cover costs not covered by Original Medicare, like copayments, coinsurance, and deductibles. For many people who chose Original Medicare, the predictability added with Medigap policies justifies the extra premiums.
Special Needs Plans (SNPs): Medicare Advantage plans can have tremendous benefits for individuals who either have chronic conditions or qualify for Medicaid, and these benefits are often tailored in a way that fits their unique financial and medical needs.
